Dr. Eng. AGATA ZDARTA (PUT)
Dr. Eng. Agata Zdarta is a Researcher, educated in Poland (MSc and BSc in Biotechnology at the Poznan University of Life Sciences, PhD in Chemistry at Poznan University of Technology).
Moreover, she gained experience in Environmental Science and Engineering at Aarhus University (Prof. Anne Winding), and Technical University of Denmark (Prof. Philipp Mayer, dr Nanna B. Hartmann) working on soli microbiota identification and ecotoxicology of chemicals and microplastics.
Since 2019 she has been working at PUT, Faculty of Chemical Technology, Department of Organic Chemistry. She is an Author of over 30 scientific papers published in journals from the JCR list and a reviewer for Elsevier and MDPI scientific journals. Laureate of
START 2021 scholarship (Foundation for Polish Science) in the field of ecology; an Award in
the area of science and earth sciences in the competition for the best research paper
published in 2020 awarded by the Poznan Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences; an
Award for the doctoral thesis (in the City of Poznan competition for outstanding masters and doctoral theses) as well as an Award for the publication Sapindus saponins’ impact on
hydrocarbon biodegradation by bacteria strains after short- and long-term contact with
pollutant (PTM Scientific Award competition named after Prof. Edmund Mikulaszek. Prof.
Edmund Mikulaszek).
Currently she is working in the BioTechPUT team.
